Bethania Deschamps and 13 others are sitting in prison in Orlando, FL this week at the center of one of the biggest criminal marriage fraud schemes of recent. According to federal criminal charges, Bethania Deschamps is alleged to have recruited U.S. citizens to marry immigrants in order to obtain Green Cards. The indictment claims that Deschamps conspired with other individuals who prepared petitions based upon fake marriages. Deschamps, of New York, even recieved a collector's fee after couples were wed.
